A lot has happened at Seattle Grace Hospital yet not matter how hard things get, there is always something there that seems to make it all better. Izzie Stevens is now married to the love of her life Alex Karev. Despite her also having stage IV Metastatic Melanoma, there is nothing that will keep her down. Izzie has always wanted a child of her own and with the cancer, she isn’t quite sure she’ll be able to have one. When a small girl is rushed to the hospital’s emergency room, Izzie immediately falls in love with her because she’s one of the cardiac patients and wants so badly to adopt her as her own child. Alex is of course not too thrilled about the idea but nothing ever stops Izzie from getting what she wants.
Just when everybody thought things were going to be okay, people in Seattle are starting to get sick and hundreds have already died. This disease has now become an epidemic and scientists have an idea on what this massive epidemic might be. Some are insisting that it’s one thing but scientists are positive that it’s the Swine Flu virus that’s mutated itself again. The symptoms are exactly the same but a few new ones have been added. Seattle Grace Hospital has never faced something so huge since the first release of the Swine Flu virus. Now with everything else going on, the staff of Seattle Grace must take on another challenge. Keeping the virus from spreading and killing more people, the sick will be immediately quarantined. When everybody has Just A Life, there is no time to waste.
